Guidelines
In order to keep NewsRabble a relevant and top-notch news resource, please adhere to the following guidelines when using the site:
- When posting, avoid how to’s, gossip columns, round-ups or lists, cat videos, or anything that’s not relevant or newsworthy. As a good rule of thumb, ask yourself “would I see something like this on Drudge?”
- Don’t post multiple articles on the same topic or event. Instead, pick the most thorough, top quality report and post that one only.
- As a rule of thumb, use the headline as it was posted in the original article unless it’s confusing or misleading. If rewording or modifying a headline, ensure everything is spelled correctly and it’s clear and concise. Misspellings could result in a dreaded “downvote.”
- Give thought to the category you select for your news item. Ensure the category chosen is the most relevant for the heart of the article to which it’s associated.
- Avoid all forms of spam or self-promotion. NewsRabble is for top-quality news articles only. If you happen to be an author of such a piece, feel free to post it. If you’re attempting to give your blog a jumpstart, or promote your latest product or service, please post it elsewhere.
- When commenting, be civil. Avoid name-calling, pointless arguing, and off topic conversations. Comment as though you were speaking face-to-face.
Keep in mind: misuse of this site or failure to adhere to the previously mentioned guidelines may result in your posts being downvoted, removed, or account suspension.
